Charles Barkley was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and again in 2010 as a member of the United States “Dream Team”. He was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History and was the regular season MVP in 1993. In 1986-87, Barkley led the NBA in rebounding and his No. 34 was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers. On the front left tail is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the PHILADELPHIA 76ERS”. Below is another “Sand-Knit” size “50” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a strip tag with “2”LB” embroidered on it. On the right inseam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON” with washing instructions. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the front reads “SIXERS”. Player number “34” appears on the front and on the back. These are done in the same blue on red tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “BARKLEY” in blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white mesh jersey. Barkley signed the jersey below the back player number “34” in black pen and in our opinion rates a 9 overall. This shirt is photomatched to a late season game dated March 6th, 1987. Barkley had 22 points, 6 assists and 18 rebounds against the Washington Bullets. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used in the playoffs and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA. It was originally sourced out of another auction who's consignor said that this jersey originated from the 76ers. It originally had accompanying paperwork which stated that it was used in the playoffs but has since been lost.
