Inside hanging off the rear collar is a “STARTER” manufacturer’s tag with materials and washing instructions. On this tag reads, “X-LARGE” and the player number “16” is written in black marker. Dwight Gooden signed below in black pen with the added inscription, “1985 Cy Young Season” and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. On the left chest reads, “Mets” in orange stitching. Near the left cuff is a Starter logo embroidered. The hat’s inner sweatband is heavily covered in dirt and on the underside of the brim reads, “DOC” in black pen. On the front of the cap is the team’s “NY” logo embroidered in orange stitching. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion show appropriate use.
