Lopes spent 16 seasons with the Major Leagues as a player with the Dodgers, Athletics, Cubs and Astros from 1972-87. He has a .263 career batting average, 155 home runs and 557 stolen bases. In the neck of this jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size "40." Below this is a blue patch reading "15 85 2 40" denoting the player number, year, set number and size, respectively. On the left front tail is the year tag, "85" in white embroidered stitch. On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue logo patch. On the back of the jersey is the name "Lopes" and below this is the player number "15." Both the name and number are made of red on white tackle twill. The name has been restored. Included with this jersey are pants from the 1984 season. Inside the waistband is a white label reading "15 84 3 36 28" in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number, year, set number, waist size and inseam, respectively. The jersey and pants show game-use and with the exception of the restored name on the back of the jersey, appear to have no other alterations of any kind.
