Goose Gossage was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008. In 1978, Gossage won a World Series Championship and was named AL Relief Man of the Year. In 1981, Gossage finished with a 0.77 ERA and in 1980, he finished third in AL voting for both the MVP Award and Cy Young Award. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag that reads “Gossage 83 1” embroidered in navy blue chain stitching. On the left chest is an “NY” logo. On the back is player number “54”. Both are done in the same navy blue tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
