Frank Robinson is in the storied “500 Home Run” club after clubbing 586 home runs. Throughout his career he would go on to win two World Series Championships and is the only player to be named MVP in both leagues, 1961 with Cincinnati and 1966 with Baltimore where he also won the triple crown. In 1975, Robinson made more history becoming the first black manager in Major League Baseball as a player/manager. Inside the rear neck is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “42” with washing instructions. On the front left tail is a black strip tag reading “20 82” embroidered in orange chain stitching. On the left sleeve is the Giants “1958-1982” anniversary patch. Across the chest reads “Giants”. The manager number “20” appears below and on the back. Across the back on a black nameplate is the manager name “ROBINSON”. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on white tackle twill. Robinson signed the back of the jersey inside the player number “2” and in our opinion the signature rates a strong 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as manger-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the apparent match and grading the jersey a perfect 10 and an ALOA from JSA.
