On the Oilers alone, Wayne accomplished more than most dream of - Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s MVP (the first of eight in a row), highest point total by a first-year player in NHL history, youngest to score 50 goals, second season won the Art Ross (the first of seven consecutive), single game playoff assist record, in 1981-82 he surpassed a record that had stood for 35 years: 50 goals in 50 games (set by Maurice Richard and later tied by Mike Bossy in 80-81) and Gretzky accomplished the feat in only 39 games. The statistics go on to fill a book. HOFer and the “Great One” white JOFA manufactured helmet. Decals as follow; Oilers team logo high on each side, JOFA above each ear (both worn out, left more than right), player number (99) on the back, and a yellow Swedish decal. JOFA label inside the top which reads “approved by the swedish ice hockey federation 235 51”. Lettered above player number on the back is “VM”. The helmet is signed on it’s top in black marker, in our opinion rating a 6. This helmet is properly labeled, was presented to us as game used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA, as well as an additional LOP.
