Graig Nettles was a six time all-star and hit 390 home runs during his career. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. Inside the collar is a strip tag reading “Nettles 80 2” embroidered in chain stitching. On the left sleeve is a black armband commemorating the death of former player Thurman Munson who died in a tragic plane crash mid-season. Across the chest is “NEW YORK” and on the back is the player number “9”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. There is staining throughout the front of the jersey which can possibly be attributed to tobacco juice. Inside the waistband of the pants is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “34” with an adjacent strip tag reading “Nettles 80 3 22”. Staining is also present on the pants. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a PM&G LOA grading the jersey a perfect 10.
