The 1977 American League Rookie of the Year, Eddie Murray went on to play on eight all-star teams and earned three Gold Gloves during his 21 year career. He remains one of the very few players to hit 500 home runs and tally 3,000 hits. This Louisville Slugger shows evidence of moderate game-use with ball and other use marks visible on the barrel. It is a 35.5 inch, 34.4 ounce R161 model bat and shows the 1980-83 labeling period, one of the most productive of his career. The handle has been taped for grip and shows very light pine tar. Murray's jersey number "33" appears on the knob and he has signed the barrel in silver paint pen with a near 10 autograph.
