The legendary Argentina international Diego Maradona wore this sky blue and white striped Argentina jersey in the 1979 Youth FIFA World Cup in Japan. Maradona scored a goal and helped Argentina to the Championship in a 3-1 victory over the Soviet Union. This iconic collared jersey features vertical sky blue and white stripes, with an Argentine Football Association logo applied to the left chest. Attached to the inside rear collar is a size “36” flag tag. The player number “10” appears on the back in black. Moderate staining is present throughout the jersey and a few small unrepaired holes are on the right armpit area however the jersey displays beautifully. Originally sourced from the Maradona family, this jersey is accompanied by a LOA from David Eduardo Albornoz Lobos which in part reads “The shirt was made available to me by the Argentine senior collector Ariel Gonzales who obtained this shirt from Maradona’s ex-wife in Buenos Aires”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
