Only the premier pitchers in baseball win twenty games in a season, but Jim Palmer was able to win twenty or more games eight different times en route to 268 career wins and his 1990 induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. This orange alternate jersey was worn by Palmer during the 1977 season, in which he went 20-11 with a 2.91 ERA. On the left front tail is an orange patch with "77 1" in navy chain stitch, representing the year and set number, respectively. In the neck of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "44." The team name "Orioles" is sewn in script-style letters across the front of the jersey and on the back is an orange nameplate with the player name "Palmer" in black tackle twill. The player number "22" appears on both the front and back of the jersey, and the numbers and team name are all made of black on white tackle twill. There is a black Sharpie autograph on the front of the jersey that rates an 8. The jersey comes with a pair of game-used 1977 Orioles pants that is white with black and orange trim. Inside the waistband is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "34" and to its right is a white tackle twill patch with "35 21 39 1 77" sewn in black chain stitch. The jersey and pants show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
