Weaver managed the Orioles for 17 years, including 15 in a row, using the philosophy of "if you play for one run, that's all you get." Throughout his career, Weaver managed for the three-run homer and solid pitching to hold that lead. On the left front tail of the jersey is a label with the player number "4" and year "77." Both are done in black chain stitch. Below this is an autograph, rating a 9. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Orioles" in script-style letters made of black on white tackle twill and on the back is an orange nameplate with the name "Weaver" in black tackle twill. The player number "4" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are made of black on white tackle twill. Inside the left breast is a custom-made cigarette pouch as Weaver was a very heavy smoker. The manufacturer's label is missing in the neck of the shirt. The jersey shows wear and with the exception of the missing manufacturer's label and added cigarette pouch, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
