The 1978 NBA Finals featured the Seattle Supersonics and Washington Bullets. The series went seven games and in the seventh game with less than 90 seconds left Paul Silas got a tip-in for Seattle to cut the Bullets lead to 101-99. Silas then fouled Wes Unseld, a 55-percent shooter from the line during the playoffs. He hit two free throws, and Washington sealed the thriller after 105-99. Silas ultimately was a three-time NBA champion, five-time NBA All-Defensive Team and a two-time All-Star. On the front left tail is the Medalist Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “44” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is an additional Sand-Knit tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Seattle Super Sonics”. Across the chest reads “SONICS”. Below and on the back is the player number “35”. Across the back is the player name “SILAS”. All numbering and lettering is done in yellow on white tackle twill. In the rear waistband of the shorts is the Medalist Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “38” with washing instructions. Adjacent to the left is a “WASHINGTON OREGON ATHLETICS” distributor’s tag and an additional Sand-Knit tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Seattle Super Sonics”. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a LOA from Photo-Match.com confirming the match.
