Widely considered to be one of the best first basemen not yet enshrined in Cooperstown, Keith Hernandez spent 17 years in the Major Leagues. The winner of an incredible 11 consecutive Gold Glove awards, he played on six All-Star teams and helped to lead the Mets to a World Championship in 1986. This bat dates from early in his career and was used during the 1976 season. It is a 34.5 inch, 33.5 ounce, M110 model bicentennial bat with the 1976 labeling period. It shows excellent game use with light pine tar and the reverse of the barrel has been cracked and is beautifully repaired. Hernandez signed the barrel in blue Sharpie with a signature rating a strong 8. Without a doubt, this is one of the nicest Hernandez gamers around.
