This 1976-77 NBA Coach of the Year trophy stands roughly 40” tall and weighs 15.5 lbs. Tom Nissalke also won the ABA Coach of the Year Award as coach of the 1971-72 Dallas Chaparrals. He is one of just three coaches to win coach of the year honors in both the ABA and NBA. The trophy features a wooden base that measures approximately 10-½” x 10-½” x 3”. A plaque on the base reads, “NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION - COACH OF THE YEAR - TOM NISSALKE - HOUSTON ROCKETS - 1976-77”. A trophy cup with a basketball player sits atop the base along with four columns that attach to a second tier. The second tier features four basketball player figurines along with a second larger trophy cup and a larger basketball figurine. The trophy is in NRMT condition.
