As a rookie, Williamson landed with the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association as a free agent for the 1973-74 season. Williamson quickly entered the New York starting lineup despite being a rookie. After Williamson became a starter, the team's fortunes quickly turned for the better and the team ended up winning the ABA Championship that season. Williamson was named to the 1974 ABA All-Rookie team. Tim Bassett played for the San Diego Conquistadors (1973-75) and New York Nets (1975-76) in the ABA; the Nets (1976-77), New Jersey Nets (1977-79) and the San Antonio Spurs (1979-80) in the NBA for 473 games. In the inside tail of the jacket is the "Rawlings" manufacturer’s size "44" wash instructions tag. "23" is written on this tag in black marker. On the front left breast is the "NY NETS" red, white, and blue embroidered logo patch. Across the back is "NETS" in blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black and white "4" Wendell Ladner memorial patch. On the inside back waistband of the Tim Bassett red and white striped pants is the “Rawlings” manufacturers size 34 tag. Next to this is the embroidered player number “2” tag. Attached is an additional tag which reads “33” Inseam.” Written in the waistband in black marker is the player number “30.” The jacket and pants show wear and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
