This size 10.5, 10k gold ring weighs 26 grams. It was presented to Mets equipment manager Herb Norman after the team won the National League pennant in 1973. The face of the ring reads “N.L. CHAMPIONS 1973 N.Y. METS” around the perimeter. The face features a diamond-encrusted baseball atop a black synthetic stone. The left panel features a banner with the name “NORMAN” above the casted image of the Mets logo and “EM” on a home plate-shaped banner below. The right panel features the casted image of Shea Stadium along with a scoreboard displaying the scores from the ‘73 National League Championship Series. Adjacent below is the casted image of a Mets cap. The inside of the ring is stamped with the name “Herb Norman” in script style writing as well as “BALFOUR 10K”. Accompanied by a Norman family LOA.
