Hank Aaron was a one man record book. Over his 23 year MLB career, he went yard an astonishing 755 times. Not only did he hold the all-time home run record, but he also holds 12 other Major League career records. Among those are most games played, most at-bats, most total bases, and most RBIs. Hank was also a three-time Gold Glove winner, and appeared in 24 All-Star games. For 20 consecutive seasons Hank hit at least 20 home runs. In 69 post season at-bats, Hank hit .362 with twenty-five hits, six of which were home runs. In the rear neck area is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “44” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Atlanta Braves” tag. Adjacent below is a felt strip tag reading “72 - Set 1” embroidered in blue chain stitching. Across the front reads “Braves” in script style writing. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “44”. All numbering and lettering is done in the same blue on white on red tackle twill. On both sleeves is a Braves team logo patch. Aaron signed the front of the jersey with the added inscription “Best Wishes” and the date “11/10/72” and in our opinion the signature rates a near 8. The Sand-Knit tags in the neck have been restored, however the felt strip tag beneath them is original. There is matching factory stitching between the Braves and player number 44 on the front and back. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
