Joe Torre was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. As a player, Torre was a nine-time All-Star and was NL MVP in 1971. As a manager, Torre led teams to four World Series championships and was named AL Manager of the Year twice. Inside the rear left tail is a “Rawlings” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag that reads “SET 1 #8P 1972”. Torre signed the jersey inside the rear collar in blue pen and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. Across the front reads “Cardinals” in red chain stitching with a navy blue-stitched outline. Player number “9” appears on the front and on the back in red on navy blue tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “TORRE” in red tackle twill with a navy blue-stitched outline. The name on the back is a low-quality restoration. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
