Hall of Famer Garo Yepremian was voted to the NFL’s 1970s All-Decade team for his kicking prowess with the Miami Dolphins. However, he will mostly be remembered for his unfortunate gaffe that occurred during Super Bowl VII. When his 42-yard field goal attempt was blocked, Yepremian scampered to grab the football. His failed attempt to throw the football was caught by Washington Redskins defender Mike Bass and returned for a touchdown. The Dolphins ended up winning the game 14-7 and completed their perfect season. Offered is the jersey worn by Yepremian during one of football’s most memorable plays of all-time. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “MEDIUM 38-40” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Miami Dolphins” tag. On the front, back and on both sleeves is the player number “1” in aqua on orange tackle twill. Across the back on a white nameplate is the player name “YEPREMIAN” in aqua tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use including parts of the hem line to the tail and left sleeve becoming partially undone. Accompanied by a LOA from Photo-Match.com confirming the match.
