A lifetime New York Ranger, Rod Gilbert was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982 and was the first player in franchise history to have his number retired. Gilbert was a winner of each the Bill Masterton Trophy and Lester Patrick Trophy, and was an eight-time All-Star. Gilbert holds New York Rangers team record for career goals, career points and games played by a forward. Sans manufacturer’s tag, as the outline is still visible on the inside below the rear collar. Going across diagonally reads, “RANGERS”, the player number “7” appears on the back and on each sleeve and across the back reads the player name, “GILBERT”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on red tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. The majority of spotting can be seen throughout the entirety of the front of the jersey, and lightly on the sleeves and back. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as a game jersey only with no team affiliation. This shirt may or may not match the player's exact specs, could be a customized blank, or produced by the team for promotional purposes
