This copy of unsigned rookie Ron Kozlicki’s contract with the Indiana Pacers is a literal history of the early ABA. The unsigned copy of the contract from April 4, 1967, rookie contract in the amount of “$16,500”; April 4, 1967 telegram from Mike Storen telling Koz he had been drafted by the Pacers; April 6, 1967 telegram telling Koz to call them; April 26, 1967 signed letter from the ABA Pacers Mike Storen telling Koz that they will beat any NBA contract offer; May 12, 1967 signed letter from Storen thanking Koz for a trip in Indy and urging him to sign with the Pacers; lastly a January 11, 1968 signed letter from Storen on Pacers letterhead fining Koz $25 for missing a plane trip along with $23.85 for the cost of the ticket…the fine was actually more than the ticket cost. Great insight into the workings of a first year ABA franchise, overall EX+ condition.
