Frank Robinson is the only player to win league MVP honors in both the National and American Leagues. He won the Triple crown, was a member of two teams that won the World Series (including 1966, the year of this jersey), and amassed the fourth-most career home runs at the time of his retirement. Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “44”. Below is a felt strip tag which is partially detached with “66-3” embroidered in black chain stitch. Across the front is “Orioles”. Player number “20” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in orange on black felt. The name “F. ROBINSON” has been removed from the back with its outline remaining. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
