Elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989, Carl Yastrzemski played his entire 23-year career with the Boston Red Sox. “Yaz” won the Triple Crown, an American League MVP, was the American League batting champion three times and has his No. 8 retired by the Red Sox franchise. He is the Red Sox' all-time leader in career RBIs, runs, hits, singles, doubles, total bases and games played. On the front left tail is a “TIM McAULIFFE INC.” manufacturer’s tag that has been restored. with the number “2” written on it in pen. Attached below is a size “40” tag and the jersey measures larger. There is also a “‘64” year tag. Across the chest reads, “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “8”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on navy blue felt lettering sewn directly onto the flannel jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
