Bob Gibson helped lead the St. Louis Cardinals to the 1964 World Series Championship. Gibson won World Series MVP honors including a victory in the decisive game 7. The front of this 1964 four page players contract of Bob Gibson reads “Between ST. LOUIS NATIONAL BASEBALL CLUB and ROBERT GIBSON”. The body of the contract states that Gibson will be payed by the team “the sum of $22,500.00”. Gibson signed the inside of the contract in blue ink and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. The contract has also been signed by a Cardinals authorized employee. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA.
