On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “44” with washing instructions. In the rear collar is a strip tag that reads “T. Aaron 1963-1” embroidered in black. Across the chest reads “Braves”. Below and on the back is the number “49”. Across the back is the name “ELGER”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. The team name is original, however the player number on front and back and player name on the back has been changed. The pants are matching from the same season and likely were the teammate Lee Maye. In the inside front waistband of the pants is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “34” with washing instructions. Adjacent to the right is a strip tag that reads “Maye 1963-1” embroidered in black. The name “ELGER” is handwritten in black marker in the inside waistband and is fading. Also included are the team stirrups and socks. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. This uniform was sourced from a Braves scout, who likely had the name changed for organizational purposes.
