The top of the ring has Maris's jersey number "9" formed from nine diamonds set against a blue background with the words "Roger Maris 61 in 61". On the right shank is a tribute to his hitting 61 in 1961, which features a likeness of Maris swinging the bat. The left shank is a tribute to the combined efforts of Maris and teammate Mickey Mantle during the 61 season. This shank features a fantastic relief of Yankee Stadium and underneath has "9 retired 7-21-84". the ring was made by Balfour and is 10K gold, size 10. It is numbered 2 out of an edition of 10 and is in overall excellent plus condition.
