The 1961 New York Yankees dominated the American League en route to a World Championship winning 109 games. This black bat was produced in limited numbers and distributed to players and close associates of the organization following the season. The 34.5 inch black presentation piece was manufactured by Louisville Slugger and features the facsimile signatures or block letter names of all the team members including Mantle, Ford, Berra, Maris, and Howard. The bat is accompanied by an original business card from John A. Hillerich which reads "Compliments and Best Wishes of Hillerich & Bradsby Co." It is in overall excellent to near-mint condition with few flaws to speak of. There are several small white spots on the barrel and a few other nicks but this is one of the nicest '61 Yankee black bats around.
