On the inner rear waistband is the “TIM McAULIFFE” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent below is a white strip tag with the year “‘59”. Adjacent to the left is the player name “MANTLE” written in black marker. On the inner right waistband is “60” and on the inner rear is “38 27” all in the same red chain-stitching. The pants are tagged a 38, but measure smaller. The pants are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show appropriate use. It is well documented that McAuliffe sporadically provided uniforms for the Yankees during this time period, which included World Series attire. “MANTLE” markered in the waistband appears to match other known authentic Pete Sheey exemplars.
