One of the most feared left handed hitters in the history of the game, Eddie Mathews was also one of the games most consistent, hitting over 30 homeruns for nine straight years. In 17 years of play, he helped his team to two World Series and played on nine All-Star teams. This Mathews gamer shows the 1959-60 labeling period, which were two of his best seasons. In 1959 he hit a career high .306 with 46 homeruns. The 35 inch, 34.2 ounce, model 79A Adirondack bat shows evidence of tremendous game use. There are ball, rack and cleats marks visible on the barrel. "41" appears on the knob in vintage black marker. Mathews signed the bat in black marker with a signature rating at least an 8.
