A lefthanded hitting defensive specialist, Danny Kravitz was a catcher with the Pirates. His first major league homer came with the bases filled, to steal a 6-5 Pirate win in 1956. On the left front tail is the "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel" label and adjacent is the size tag "42." Below this is "28 57" in black chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number and year, respectively. On the inside left front tail is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1957." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Pirates" and on the back is the player number "66." The letters and numbers are made of black on gold felt. After the 1957 season the jersey was sent down to the minors, at which time there was a number change. The jersey shows good game-use and with the exception of the number change, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
