Hall of Famer Al Cervi coached the Eastern Conference in two All-Star Games (‘52 and ‘55). After coaching the East All-Stars in ‘55, his Syracuse Nationals went on to defeat the Fort Wayne Pistons in the NBA Finals. This trophy stands approximately 17 inches tall and weighs 4 lbs. The trophy features a regulation size brass basketball atop a plastic base. The basketball is engraved with “NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION”. The base features a brass plaque engraved that reads “AL CERVI COACH - EASTERN DIVISION TEAM ALL STAR GAME” along with the dates of the two All-Star games that he coached, “BOSTON FEB. 11, 1952” and “NEW YORK CITY JAN 18, 1955”. The trophy is in EX condition with a dent on one panel of the basketball, it is accompanied by a LOA from Al Cervi.
