This exceedingly rare satin uniform was worn by a handful of teams specifically made for night games that were played under the lights. This is only the second known Reds satin jersey we have seen. Inside the collar is the MacGregor Goldsmith manufacturer’s tag that has condition issues and the size is illegible. Adjacent below is an outline remaining of where the player identification originally was. On the inside front right tail is an additional strip tag reading “T48” embroidered in red chain stitch. Across the chest reads “CINCINNATI” and on the back is the player number “23” both in red tackle twill. Minor staining is seen on the back. Inside the waistband of the pants is the MacGregor Goldsmith manufacturer’s tag size “38”. Adjacent above is a strip tag reading “Cress 32”, which refers to Walker Cress who originally wore the pants. Adjacent to the side is an additional strip tag reading “T48”. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
