Hall of Famer Frankie Frisch captained the Giants to four straight NL pennants from 1921 to 1924. He then sparked the St. Louis Cardinals to four pennants and two championships, the last as player-manager in 1934. In 1940, Frisch became the Pittsburgh Pirates manager for the next seven seasons. In the rear collar is the Spalding manufacturers tag. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading the name “Frisch” embroidered in red. On the back middle tail is a box tag reading the size “42”. Across the chest of the zippered jersey reads “PIRATES” and on the back is the number “35”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on blue felt. These felt identifiers have been organically faded out to a pinkish hue. The zipper is in working condition. This is the first Frisch flannel we have had the opportunity to handle. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as coaches-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by LOAs from Dave Grob SGC and Photo-Match.com grading the jersey a 9.
