The 1927 season was particularly spectacular by baseball standards for the Yankees. They went 110–44, winning the A.L. pennant by 19 games and sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1927 World Series. They batted .307, slugged .489, scored 975 runs, and outscored their opponents by a record 376 runs. Most notably, Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs that year broke his own record and remained the Major League mark for 34 years. OAL Johnson baseball signed by 22 of the 1927 World Champs including Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazerri, Waite Hoyt, Earle Combs, Herb Pennock, Johnny Grabowski, Joe Giard, Wilcy Moore, Pat Collins, Ben Paschal, Myles Thomas, Julie Wera, George Pipgras, Joe Dugan, Bob Meusel, Bob Shawkey and Mike Gazella. All signatures are done in blue steel tip fountain pen and rate an overall 5 with the Ruth one of the strongest sigs on the ball rating a 6. There is an inscription in an unknown hand. The ball is evenly toned throughout, accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
