Hockey in Montreal is a way of life for most Canadians. The passion they have for the game of hockey is like no other city. The Montreal Forum closed its doors for the final time in 1996 after 72 years and 23 Stanley Cup Championships. These three seats are from the famed Montreal Forum. The seats are separately numbered 7, 14 and 17. Number 7 is a blue seat with Montreal Forum 1924-96 in white paint across the back of the seat and the Canadiens logo on the top right. Number 14 is a red seat with the Canadiens logo on the top right. Written across the back of the seat is "Montreal Forum 1924-96 Stanley Cup Champions" and a list of the 23 years that the Canadiens won the Cup while playing at the Forum. The third chair is white and numbered 17. Underneath is listed the seven retired Canadiens players and numbers. They are as follows: Plante #1, Harvey #2, Beliveau #4, Morenz #7, Richard #9, Lafleur #10 and H. Richard # 16. Each chair has a wooden back and a padded seat. All three chairs are in excellent condition.
