The 1914 Miracle Boston Braves won the National League Pennant by ten and a half games and swept Connie Mack's Philadelphia A's in the World Series. The Braves were led by pitchers Dick Rudolph and Bill James who won a combined 53 games during the regular season and all four against the A's. Pictured here are two vintage items from that Championship year. The first piece is a 4-1/2" clasp, ribbon and pin. There is a 2" maroon ribbon attached to a metal clasp. The ribbon reads Boston Royal Rooters and has nearly two complete tears through it. The 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" pin reads Boston Braves Champions 1914. The back of the pin has no clasp and reads "A.R. Lopez and Bros. Boston, Mass". The second piece is a 1914 Boston Braves pennant. The faded red and white felt pennant is in excellent condition with original blue felt letters (except the "B" in Boston) that reads " Boston N.L. Braves 1914".
