The Air Force football team honored the Tuskegee Airmen with their 2020 edition of the Air Power Legacy Series uniform. The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of African-American pilots and ground crew from the U.S. Army Air Forces commissioned by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in September 1940. The Falcons debuted the special uniform for the Navy game on October 3rd in Falcon Stadium. On the front left tail is a Nike size “L” tag. Embroidered inside the collar is “THOSE BRAVE ENOUGH TO FIGHT” in red. The player number “39” appears on the front and back and across the back on a chrome nameplate reads “Red Tails”. All numbering and lettering is done in black on chrome tackle twill. On the right sleeve is an Air Force logo patch and on the left sleeve is a patch reading “SPIT FIRE”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Falcon Athletic Fund COA.
