Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, Troy Aikman spent his entire 12-year career with “America’s Team”, the Dallas Cowboys and won three Super Bowl titles and was a Super Bowl MVP. Adjacent to each ear hole is a Velcro patch for a microphone. Adjacent to the Velcro patch next to the left ear hole is a number “8” in Dymo Tape. “SCHUTT” manufactured facemask with the front clips reading, “3 99” and “99 2” (replaced). On the back of the helmet is a piece of Dymo Tape with the player name, “AIKMAN” on it. Below reads, “COWBOYS” and adjacent is the official “NFL” shield decal. On each side of the helmet is the team’s star logo decal. Aikman signed the outer dome with a black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7-8 overall. Light scuffing on the outer dome. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and that it was sourced directly from Aikman, and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Aikman wore this combonation of high strap hookups and this kind of facemask, but we cannot locate a photo of him wearing this unique clip setup. This is likely due the original clips breaking facilitating the need for modern replacements. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and an additional LOA.
