Being a defenceman in the NHL was never the same once Bobby Orr stepped on the ice. One of the greatest of all time in the sport of hockey, Orr revolutionized what we thought a defenceman was supposed to be as he became the only one ever to lead the league in scoring. He holds the record for most points and assists in a single season by a defenceman, won a record eight consecutive Norris Trophies (NHL's best defenceman) and three consecutive Hart Trophies (league’s MVP award). Orr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions, however it measures out to a 46. Orr was known to wear 46 to 50. There is no fight strap because this jersey was manufactured in the pre fight strap era. On the chest is the Boston Bruins team “B” logo in white, black and yellow tackle twill. The player number “4” appears on the back and on each sleeve in yellow on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use with the appropriate level of puckering to the twill identifiers. The interior of the shirt shows a great deal of pilling from Orr’s undershirt, which most players normally wore. Accompanied by an additional LOA from another authenticator.
