Dick McGuire was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993, a year after the Knicks formally retired his Number 15. It can be said that Dick McGuire was finally afforded the public recognition that his career demanded. Presented is the only known example of a McGuire Detroit Pistons durene jersey. On the front left tail is the MacGregor manufacturer’s tag that is partially detached. Adjacent is the “Griswold” distributor’s tag and a tag with washing instructions. Across the front reads “DETROIT PISTONS”. The player number “15” appears in between on the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering is done in red on white tackle twill. Also included is a pair of matching shorts that are MacGregor manufactured size “36” with the player number “15” on the left thigh in red on white tackle twill. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a 9+.
