College football Hall of Famer Don Meredith spent all of his 9 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He was a 3-time Pro Bowler and was the NFL’s most valuable player in 1966 after posting a 9-3-1 record with 24 touchdowns and completing 51.5 percent of his passes. After Meredith’s NFL career he became a color analyst and was an original member of the Monday Night Football broadcast team on ABC. Below the inner rear collar is the “Southland” manufacturer’s tag with flag tag “SIZE 48”. Across the front, on back and on each sleeve is the player number “17” in blue tackle twill. The numbers affixed to the jersey via rope-stitching, which is customary to Southland shirts during this time period. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
