Hall of Famer Sid Abel was a key member of the Detroit Red Wings "Production Line" along with Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsey. One of the most productive lines in hockey history led the Red Wings to Stanley Cup Championships in 1943, 50 and 52. Inside the rear left tail of this red wool sweater is the O’Shea manufacturer’s tag with an attached tag reading the size “44”. Across the front is a uniquely chain stitched felt team logo crest. Multiple stains from game wear and what appears to be blood staining is present on the crest and body. Across the back is the player number “19” in white felt. The sweater is littered with team repairs and unrepaired holes throughout the front and rear body and both sleeves. This sweater is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA and a Selby Colson LOA.
