A Reverend from City of Hopewell was in Washington, D.C. to attend a doubleheader between the New York Yankees and Washington Senators. The man took in batting practice with friends and caught a ball in his right field box. The ball was later autographed by Babe Ruth when he took his position in the field. The local newspaper featured the men in an article, and this article has been printed onto the North panel. Offered here is the aforementioned baseball. Reach manufactured OAL baseball single-signed by Babe Ruth. Ruth signed on the sweet spot in black steel-tip fountain pen and in our opinion the signature rates a 3. There is an inscription on the West panel that reads “May 30, 1931” with the rest of it being illegible. G-VG condition with heavy toning and spotting. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA and a copy of the newspaper article detailing the story of the baseball.
