This rare and unique piece is framed to measure 22” x 26”. It was made to celebrate the 21st birthday of Christy Walsh Jr. on April 23, 1947 held at Bob Ripley (Believe It or Not) famous studio apartment in New York. Around the perimeter are various black and white photos of Walsh with his family as well as with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The piece is signed by many people, presumably friends and family including Eleanor Gehrig (Mrs. Lou), Bob Ripley and Russell and Bobette Mack. At the bottom center is the largest and most gorgeous signature of Babe Ruth imaginable. It is done in black ink. Quotes around “Babe” and rates a near perfect 10. The piece is in EX-NM overall condition with some scratching on the frame itself and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
