Michael Jordan became the 18th player in NBA history with 20,000 points when he scored 35 points in the Chicago Bulls 120-95 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks on January 8th, 1993. The legendary Hall of Famer recorded his 20,000th point in only his 620th game. Jordan’s three-pointer with 5:12 left pulled the Bulls into a 110-77 lead and gave him exactly 20,000 points. He was taken out 13 seconds later to a thunderous ovation from the sellout crowd in Chicago Stadium. Jordan was quoted, “I wanted to get out of the game, I was only out there for one reason--to score. I wanted to get it over and done with. This is the city I play for and I wanted to get it here. “Air Jordan 7” size “13” white shoes with red, gold and black trim. The shoes feature custom insoles for added support and show great game wear throughout. The player number “23” is on the backs in white and a gold “Jumpman” logo is on the outsides. A Jordan autograph with the added inscription “20,000 PTS” is on the outside ankles in silver marker. JSA has confirmed the autographs as being a clubhouse variation. This leads us to believe that this pair of shoes was on Jordan’s feet during this historic game and sourced from someone close to the team who later signed and inscribed the shoes to commemorate the achievement.
