At a time of life when most of us are still wet behind the ears, Kevin Garnett was already an NBA All-Star, having jumped right from his Chicago high school to the Timberwolves in 1995. The 1997-98 season saw the 6-foot-11, 220-pounder go for 18.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Last season he became only the ninth player in history to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists per game. On the left front tail is a white label reading "07-98 Set #3." Next to this is the "Starter" exclusive label and adjacent is the size tag "98." Next to this is the "4"LB" label denoting four extra inches in body length. Below the Starter label is the year tag "97-98." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Timberwolves" in white tackle twill on a black/silver backing and on the back is the name "Garnett" in white on black tackle twill. The player number "21" appears on both the front and back of the jersey in white tackle twill on a black/silver backing. On the upper left front is the "NBA" patch. The jersey comes with an additional certificate of authenticity from the Timberwolves equipment manager. It shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
