"Tom Terrific" compiled 311 wins, 3,640 strikeouts, 61 shutouts and a 2.86 ERA. In 1992, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the highest percentage ever recorded (98.84%), and has the only plaque at Cooperstown wearing a New York Mets hat. Inside the rear collar is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “46”. Attached is a fag tag with “SET 1 1983”. Below is a strip tag with “41 83 1” indicating player number, jersey year and set, respectively. Across the front is “Mets”. Player number “41” appears on both the front and back. Player name “SEAVER” appears across the back on a blue nameplate. All numbers and letters are done in orange on grey tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use.
