A two-time MVP and perhaps the best catcher in major league history, Johnny Bench led the league in HRs twice and RBIs three times. His Cincinnati Reds dominated the NL in the 1970s winning four pennants and back-to-back world championships in 1975-76. On the front left tail is a box tag reading the year “82” embroidered in red chain stitching. This jersey features custom tapered sides and is sans a manufacturers tag, however it does measure to a size “44” which is consistent with Bench jerseys. Across the chest reads “CINCINNATI”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “5”. Across the back is the player name “BENCH”. All numbering and lettering is done in red tackle twill. There are minor holes on the front of the jersey that have been repaired. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
