These spikes were worn by Louisiana Lightning during his magical 1978 season with the NY Yankees, a season which the Yanks won the World Series and he won the Cy Young. These cleats are Puma manufactured black with white trim. On the back of each is player number “49” in black marker. On the right cleat is a small blue gator embroidered. On the bottom of the right spike is “W-L 25-3 Ron Guidry 1978” written in black marker. Our consignor obtained these cleats from Danny Lawler, a golf pro who was befriended by many NY Yankees. They show nice game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
