Steve Carlton won four National League Cy Young Awards, one of which came in 1977 when the left-hander posted a 23-10 record with a 2.64 ERA and 198 strikeouts. During that same season, Carlton threw 17 complete games and two shutouts. A two-time World Series champion and Triple Crown winner, Carlton was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994 on the first ballot. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Below is a strip tag with, “77 1” embroidered on it in black stitching. The zipper is intact. Inside on the rear collar is a strip tag with the player name, “Carlton” embroidered on it in black chain-stitching. On the left chest is the team’s, “P” logo, the player number “32” appears on the right chest and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “CARLTON” on a white nameplate. All numbering and lettering are done in burgundy tackle twill. Carlton signed below the back player number in red pen and in our opinion, rates a 7-8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
